Same Sex Marriage

And finally the people’s voices are heard! The same sex marriage debate is finally over and the outcome is good.

“Should the law be changed to allow same sex couples to marry?”
The Same Sex Marriage Survey had a higher turnout than for practically any voluntary ballot measure undertaken in a western democracy in modern history.

This is ground breaking and confirms the ground swell of people who believe in equal voice and equal rights of their fellow kind. 62% of people who returned their ballot papers have agreed that the laws should be changed and so it was.

Therefore, on the 9th of December 2017, the law was passed that same sex couples could now marry In Australia. Without further adieu, the Justice department has issued new service documents and all Australian Civil Celebrants, after being served with a “notice of intention to married form” by a marrying couple are now legally able to marry a couple after 30 days, regardless of their sex.

Do you want to be part of this ground swell of love?

I can see a movement of compassion and kindness being shown among our fellow travellers to allow every person the freedom to be who they need to be. This warm and fuzzy feeling is good in the world and I am happy to be able to marry ALL couples and for their marriages to be recognized within Australia.

Hopefully, Australia will become a holiday destination and marriage location for couples wanting to celebrate their love for each other whilst visiting Australia – regardless of their sexual preference. A place that same sex couples can feel accepted, regardless of their beliefs. Finally, a country that is now respectful of the personal wishes of all people who live here.
